Lumin releases 42-inch MultiTouch display
Love your iPhone’s multitouch capabilities? Then you’ll probably like Lumin’s latest offering, which promises to change the way you interact with your computer. It’s very much like Microsoft’s Surface, with all those fancy Minority Report like functionality. For example you can rotate, move, or enlarge images with your hand; even multiple users can work simultaneously on Lumin’s Multitouch terminal.
Under the hood of this table-display is a Mac mini with 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB RAM and 80GB hard disk. The 42-inch (1024 x 768 XGA res) machine can run OS X 10.5 / Windows XP. Its now available for an undisclosed price.
