There are 480p native projectors that support 1080p input. This monitor is 1680x1050, everyone do the math.

    and features 1680x1050 resolution
how to put 1080 lines inside 1050?
    and
how to put 1920 columns inside 1680?
    some kind of crap interpolation
we don´t need this kind of sh..
the only 1080p "real" fullhd means
    at least 1920x1200

LG is the best when it comes to electronics. your monitors are the cutting edge in the world of computers.

gillian, what RUBBISH are you on about? cutting edge? please see dell monitors, they have HDMI and rotate etc. also they display FULL HD (1080P) not 1680 X 1050 like this one!

Obviously 1080p resolution would be scaled down to fit and match the available pixels. The same thing goes for every modern 720p HDTV with support for 1080i. True, 1080 will not look as good as true 1080 sets, but at least this things scales it while preserving the progressive scan rate. That's the impressive part!

Dell does not do HDMI, they are backing DisplayPort

When is this model (LG M228WA) available in the USA. How much is it? and where can i get one?

2ms response time : That's not what one can read in the official home page of LG; It's written 5ms. The difference between the M228WA and the L228WA is not clear when we talk about spcefication: It's rather similar. Aren't we facing some new fashion? Can't we get better with some top rank hardware?

What rubbish are _you_ on about? Sure some Dells monitors will do FULL HD (1080P) but there are plenty that will not. You're saying the Dell are better than LG based on the fact that some of Dell's monitors are better than this particular LG monitor. if you can't make sensible comparisons between products and brand then shut the hell up.

Everyone just calm the hell down.

LG M228WA has no HDMI input. The model which has HDMI input is LG 22LS4R, its specs is exactly as same as M228WA, but i think i will only be found in some countries.

Yup, the M228WA has a DVI-D input with HDCP support, so it can get 1080p signal, which then has to be scaled down.

Just to point out that this will not work well with a PS3 or an XBOx360. Monitor are cr**p at scaling dow. I opted out for a TV with a proper 720p (or 1080i) mode and then use that as well on the PC in its' native mode. Works pretty well.
