Its not the first time we are hearing about an odd panel size display. Couple of months ago I reported that a Taiwanese company is planning to release an 18.4-inch LCD monitor in the second quarter of 2008. And now today Digitimes reports that LG Display, previously known as LG.Philips, is all set to crank 18.9-inch 16:9 LCD monitor panels at the end of the third quarter.

The company plans to cut the 18.9-inch panels at its 6G plant. No word on technical specification.
