Lenovo launches six new energy-efficient ThinkVision monitors

lenovo_L2440x.jpg People who use their PC 24x7 knows that LCD monitors consumes a good amount of power. So to reduce your electricity bill as well as to reduce environmental impact Lenovo today came out with six new ThinkVision monitors -- the L1700p, L1940 Wide, L1940p Wide, L2240p Wide, L2440p Wide and L2440x Wide. According to Lenovo, these monitors use 30-60 percent less energy than previous ThinkVision models, are EPEAT Gold rated and GREENGUARD certified, and include packaging for select models with 65 percent recycled materials.

All of them offers 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time and 1920x1200 resolution for an especially crisp image. Also, some selected models include four high-speed USB ports and DisplayPort for added flexibility.

The flagship ThinkVision L2440x Wide monitor is a 24-incher boasting low-halogen display that provides up to 225 percent more work area than many ultraportable notebook screens. Using highly efficient White LED backlight technology, the L2440x Wide requires only 29 watts of power to operate. In addition to providing exceptional picture quality, the L2440x Wide is mercury and arsenic free for a safer computing experience in environments such as offices, stores, classrooms and homes.

The Lenovo ThinkVision L1700p monitor is available worldwide beginning September 19. The ThinkVision L1940 Wide monitor is available in European markets only beginning September 19. Additional models will be available worldwide beginning in October. Starting prices range from $239.99 for the ThinkVision L1700p to $749.99 for the ThinkVision L2440x Wide.
