LaCie 526 – 26-inch monitor with colorimeter
LaCie has kicked out a new monitor for professionals reproducing 95% of the AdobeRGB and 98.5% of the ISO-coated color space. The 25.5-inch (company rounded it to 26) display features 1,900 x 1,200 resolution, 400 cd/m2 brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio, 16 ms response time, 178° viewing angle, few calibration tools, easyHood that reduces glare, and blue eye pro software ($300 extra) that allows for hardware calibration in a single click. The LaCie 526 will be available by the end of this month at $2000. I think the price-tag is more eyecatching than the specs.
