Bill Gates starts bgC3: a mysterious technological think-tank

bgc3_logo.jpg Soon before Bill Gates officially stepped down from Microsoft people assumed that he'll spend most of his time working for Bill and Malinda Gates foundation. But boy, Gates has something different on his mind. Recently, Gates filed registration documents for a new organization -- bgC3 (Bill Gates Catalyst 3). Gates also got himself a fancy new high-tech office, and a clever logo that has been trademarked. The new company is located in Kirkland, Washington, a suburb located next to Redmond. So what is this Co gonna do? Well, Federal trademark filings describes bgC3 as a think tank, working on "scientific and technological services," "industrial analysis and research," and "design and development of computer hardware and software."

According to reports, the new venture is not being created for commercial purposes, but was created to run Gates’ philanthropic organizations and for research purposes.

One of the projects that Gates is currently backing is an alternative nuclear reactor that produces no waste or other dangerous materials.
