We know Dell and Samsung are done with netbook segment. Now word on internet has it even Toshiba is quitting netbook segment, at least in US. Its no secret that netbook sales are going down since last couple of years because of the popularity of iPad and other tablets.
Now a days people are not only using tablets for entertainment but also for business work. And with thousands of free and paid applications you can actually enjoy both on a tablet.
This is the main reason why beautiful looking tablets are selling like hot cakes and miniature laptops (netbooks) are dying slow death.
Coming back to Toshiba, it mentioned that it is quitting US netbook market and will instead focus on ultrabooks which provide amazing power in thin and light form factor.
It didn’t say anything about quitting netbook market in the rest of the world so we are assuming Toshiba netbooks will still be available in rest of the world.
