Samsung to buy SanDisk?
If media reports are to be believed then Samsung is in a process of buying SanDisk. The Korean giant has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors, but according to industry insiders Sammy is really working hard on this deal, which has the potential to re-shape flash storage industry. The purchase of American SanDisk will boost Samsung’s position in flash storage chip industry. On it’s part the world’s largest supplier of flash storage card products came out with a press statement mentioning that “SanDisk periodically has conversations with multiple parties, including Samsung, regarding a variety of potential business opportunities. We evaluate all of these opportunities, but maintain a policy of not commenting on market rumors or speculation.” Will keep you posted as more news come in.
