Nothing official here, but rumor has it Dell is planning to launch a new netbook based on Google’s open source Android operating system. The rumor started doing rounds after mobile software developer Bsquare announced on Wednesday that it would port Adobe Flash Lite to Dell’s Inspiron Mini 9 netbook. Soon after the press release went official Dell came out in full force rejecting the news. The Bsquare press release “erroneously mentioned Dell’s name” and is being recalled, Dell said. Cnet reports, something is surely cooking between Dell and Google, and the press release was certainly not a mistake.
