• China’s internet population hits 384 million!

Now that’s a staggering number, no? Reportedly, China’s internet population has hit 384 million last year — up by 30% when compared to the number of users in the year preceding the last one. Even in the year preceding the last one China boasted world’s largest number of netizen, but with this number it has become by far the only country to boast such a massive number of internet users.

If we further break down the number then we know that 233 million people go online via a mobile phone. This is because of the launch of third-generation services that support video and other Web products.
At 384 million, its the biggest market in terms of people, so it would be very difficult for Google to decide whether to hold high moral ground and leave China or sense money and stay put.
