Case filed against Gizmodo.com for morphing picture of an Indian actress
I know we are computer related blog, but we thought of publishing this piece of news as it concerns this industry in general. Recently, Gizmodo had published a blog post regarding iPanties. As we gather the original image for this news was provided by “G-Ram” but later on Gizmodo morphed a new image with undies on an Indian actress. The above pictured image is of Celina Jaitley, a well known Indian actress. Soon after the news was published she came to knew of the article and was completely taken aback by her morphed image. As we gather Gizmodo didn’t meant to harm anyone and did it completely out of fun. We doubt they’ve even heard of this actress. But as it stands, things have turned out differently.
According to Celina the site has wrongly morphed her face on some other model’s body.
Her spokesperson reports that Celina had recently refused to work with a photographer and walked out of a photo shoot. The photographer later on did not return her pictures, which she believes, was used to morph the above pictured image.
To take the matter further, Celina has filed criminal case against Gizmodo with the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell (CCIC) of the Criminal Branch, Mumbai.
