Acer placed orders for NVIDIA Ion 2?
Now this is an interesting piece of news. We already know that Acer’s AspireRevo nettops based on NVIDIA ION chipset are hit. So just as NVIDIA is planning to introduce ION 2 chipset, it seems Acer has already placed orders for them. Expected to be more powerful then first generation ION chipset, the NVIDIA ION 2 is expected to be launched by year end.
Thanks to better graphics power, NVIDIA ION 2 will surely provide a good boost to nettop’s performance, making them comparable to mainstream desktops in terms of power.
No word on release of Acer nettops based on Ion 2.
