WiFi has now became an integral part of our lives. No matter where we are and what product do we have we can access WiFi network pretty easily. And the best part about them is that they offer nice speeds as well. But of course, for more demanding consumers even the current generation 802.11n specification is not good enough. So come 2013 and you’ll be able to access wireless internet at 1Gbps!

Dubbed as 802.11ac, the upcoming generation WiFi standard is currently in works and should hopefully be ready by 2013.
Currently the 802.11n is the fastest standard which offers up to 300Mbps speed using MIMO (Multiple In-Multiple Out) configuration of multiple antennae working in sync.
So the news of 1Gbps 802.11ac standard is actually very interesting.
The only sad thing is that it won’t come out before 2013.
