Western Digital has announced a new external hard drive for Apple Mac users, equipped with FireWire 400 and USB 2.0. The My Passport Studio portable drive is designed for always on-the-go users and features a capacity gauge, and a soft drawstring carrying bag for protection from scratches and dirt. The 320GB drive weighs less than 5 ounces, and makes it easy to securely carry office files, thousands of songs, videos or photos and back up a Macintosh laptop using Apple Time Machine backup software utility.

The usb-bus powered drive also features a shock-resistant enclosure to provide protection from the bumps and jars of everyday life on-the-go. The My Passport Studio portable drive is now available for $160 (250GB) and $220 (320GB).
