Today Transcend announced a new cool looking external hard drive in StoreJet line up with 160GB storage capacity. Housed in a polished aluminum case, the 2.5-inch drive is based on SATA interface providing transfer rates up to 480Mbits per second. The company says this "new-generation" USB 2.0 external hard drive supports transfer rates of up to 1.5Gb/s via “point to point” data connections and saves power with its low operating voltage. Its comes bundled with an OneTouch Auto-Backup function.

The StoreJet 2.5 SATA drive is now available in three colors -- Silver (80GB), Titanium (120GB), and Blue (160GB) costing $100, $114, and $132 respectively.
