Samsung Electronics has cranked a solid state drive with 64GB capacity. The speeds of 1.8-inch drive has been increased substantially - read speed up by 20% and write performance up by 60% compared to their 32GB SSD which was launched last year. The non-moving NAND flash memory features 64MB/s read and 45MB/s write speed.

The firm plans to mass product this SSD in the second quarter of this year.
