PQI Taiwan today announced 2.5” SATAⅡ Solid State Drive (SSD) S525. Its performance is rated at 150MB/sec read and 90MB/sec write, faster than majority of hard drives being sold on the market at the moment. Available in 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage options, the drive is rated with a storage lifespan of 10 years, and is shock and vibration proof. Coupled with new and improved controllers, search time and power consumption figures have been dramatically reduced. No word on pricing.
