PhotoFast G-Monster PCIe SSD 1TB drive with 1,000MB/s read/write speed announced

photofast_g-monster-ssd2.jpg Remember I told you about the G-Monster SSD in the last week? PhotoFast today officially announced its fastest solid state disk. Reportedly, the PhotoFast G-Monster is the world's first drive to touch 1,000MB/s speeds. The drive connects to an x8 PCI-Express slot and comes with up to 1TB storage capacity. But surely the best thing about this drive is its superfast speeds: the disk reportedly offers 1000MB/s read speed and 1000MB/s write speed.

The disk supports MLC flash and comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage capacity. The drive also features a ECC DDRII and SDRAM memory of local cache 256MB.

The first batch of superfast SSD will be available in Japan by mid of May.

No word on pricing.
