Hitachi SimpleDrive, Portable Rugged Drive and Stylish Portable Drive external hard drives announced

Hitachi today announced three new external hard drives: the SimpleDrive (pictured above), Portable Rugged Drive and Stylish Portable Drive. The newest addition to Hitachi's external HDD solutions are powered by USB 2.0.

The SimpleDrive is targeted towards mainstream desktop users who can save up to 2TB of data in this portable drive. It also boast of anodized aluminum enclosure.

On the other hand the Portable Rugged Drive is targeted for mobile crowd who need to continuously move data from one PC to another, and hence need a rugged drive. This one also boast of water and shock-resistant design. It comes with 320GB and 500GB storage capacities.

The final model, Hitachi Stylish Portable Drive, is for fashionable crowd. It comes in two flavors Blue Dusk (320GB) and Carbon fiber (500GB).
