At last a solid state disk crossed 1000GB mark. What BiTMICRO has come up with is nothing but pure genius. The firm was able to pack 1.6TB of data into a small SSD (3.5-inch form factor) with sustained data transfer rates of up to 230 MB/sec (peaking at 320 MB/sec in burst mode). The E-Disk Ultra320 SCSI is built for the highly demanding enterprise, military and industrial applications.

Its rugged specifications are projected to exceed requirements by far, with operating temperatures between –40 degrees C to 85 degrees C, operating shock of up to 1500 Gs, and patented securErase and PowerGuard technologies.

The disk is expected to hit stores by Q3 2008 in capacities ranging from 16GB to 1.6TB.
