Western Digital’s Scorpio – 250GB hard drive
Western Digital has launched a new hard drive, the Scorpio. The 2.5-inch drive is based on perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) technology and comes with up to 250GB storage capacity. The company claims to provide “one of the quietest drive with real-time data protection technology to help keep your data safe.” The 5400rpm hard drive features an 8MB buffer, SATA 1.5 Gb/s interface, and consumes 2.5W power (read/write).
