This time around Western Digital has not only targeted pure media junkies but also style conscious users who wants to bank on high capacity external hard drive to store data. The updation in My Book series — My Book Home Edition, My Book Office Edition and My Book Essential Edition — is smaller, sleeker and head-turning. Available in 320GB to 1TB capacities the drives provides many useful features such as automatic, continuous backup, capacity gauge (to show how much space is free), SmartPower feature that powers the drive on and off with the computer, USB 2.0 interface (plus FireWire 400 and eSATA on Home Edition), and Kensington security slot.
The My Book external hard drives are now available with price ranging from $130 to $380 depending on model and capacity.
