Verbatim SureFire 500GB portable hard drive
Verbatim recently announced SureFire line of portable combo FW800/USB2 hard drive. The newest Verbatim drive is a rugged palm-size drive available in capacities of 250GB, 320GB and 500GB. Its a plug-n-play drive, meaning users can just plug it in any Windows / Mac based computer and store large amount of data or quickly transfer large files between computers. The bus-powered drives are equipped with one USB 2.0 port, and one FireWire 800 port to deliver high-speed transfer rates of up to 800MB/sec for FireWire 800 connections and 480MB/sec when connected with USB 2.0, without requiring an AC power adapter.
Housed in a stylish yet durable black aluminum-extruded case with a fingerprint-resistant matte finish, the 2.5” drive features a 5400rpm spindle speed and 8MB of cache memory.
It is also equipped with a black protective carrying case.
The SureFire drive also supports Mac OS X Leopard’s Time Machine backup application.
It is now available for $109.99 (250GB), $139.99 (320GB), and $179.99 (500GB).
