Toshiba intros ultra-small SATA solid-state drives

Toshiba recently introduced its newest and smallest solid state drives. Built using 32nm technology, the Toshiba ultra-small drives are targeted towards netbooks, handhelds, digital camcorders, and PMPs. Called the SG2, the new Toshiba SSD modules come in two form factors: a low-profile mini-SATA (mSATA) format and a half-slim SATA format. The SSDs will be offered in 30GB and 62GB capacities.
The drives are made using 32 nanometer technology, and boast of 180MB/s read speed and 70MB/s write speed.
Truly amazing for a drive that measures 7th of a 2.5″ drive!
No word on pricing.
Mass production of these drives will starts in October.
