Toshiba intros STOR.E CANVIO and STOR.E BASICS USB 3.0 portable hard drives
Toshiba recently released two new portable hard drives under STOR.E family — the STOR.E BASICS and STOR.E CANVIO. Both of them come with the latest USB 3.0 technology and offer 1TB storage capacity.
Thanks to the USB 3.0 interface, the drives offer fast transfer rates of up to 5 Gigabits-per-second (Gbps). Both HDDs also come fully equipped with an Internal Shock Sensor and Ramp Loading Alert, which protect data against accidental knocks whilst carried around in bags or pockets.
In addition, the STOR.E CANVIO comes loaded with NTI Backup Now EZ software which scans your computer and recommends the best storage options. You then decide between backing up your files to the STOR.E CANVIO HDD, or to online storage in cloud, or choose both for the most comprehensive coverage.
Both the drives come in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities and offer various color options such as black, red, green, and blue.
The STOR.E CANVIO and STOR.E BASICS will be available in Europe from early forth quarter 2011
