Toshiba enters SSD segment with 128GB SATA SSD
Big daddy of hard drives has announced it’s entry into the fast and expensive world of solid state disks. The first Tosh SSD products, featuring multilevel-cell NAND flash memories, are designed for notebook PCs. The 1.8-inch disks comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB flavors with a maximum read speed of 100MB/sec, and write speed of 40MB/sec.
The disks will be showcased at CES in Las Vegas in January and will be mass produced from the first quarter of next year.
