Toshiba announces new hard drives
Toshiba has kicked a new high capacity model in their external hard drive line up and an internal notebook drive. The external HDDs, including the newly launched 250GB model, are designed for normal users who never gets enough of their storage capacity. The USB 2.0 drives ships with NTI Shadow software for easy backups, and Tosh’s patent-pending shock mounting system to deliver extra protection against normal wear and tear.
The external drives comes in 250GB ($190), 200GB ($170), 160GB ($140), and 120GB ($110) capacities.
In addition Toshiba has released a new notebook hard drive series based on PMR technology. The series features 4200 / 5400 rpm speed, and 8MB buffer. The hard drive comes in 80GB ($80), 120GB ($100), 160GB($160), 200GB ($160), and 250GB ($190) capacities.
