Thecus D0204 storage device supports USB 3.0, 2TB storage!
If you’re a SOHO pro or have an SMB then Thecus’ latest direct attached storage (DAS) device is primarily targeted towards you. Interesting thing about the newest DAS from Thecus is that it supports latest generation USB 3.0 specification as well as 2 terabyte storage!
The D0204 is a small and compact direct attached storage (DAS) device. Wrapped in a housing measuring a mere 86mm x 55.3mm x 132mm, the D0204 may appear to be a mere portable hard disk at first glance, but peering inside this tiny form factor reveals a powerful storage unit.
Thanks to its USB 3.0 port, it can transfer data at the rate of 5Gb/s. Furthermore, users can install up to two SATA hard disks using the D0204′s two 2.5″ SATA bays, which means a total storage capacity of up to 2TB!
The D0204 even accepts the latest solid state drives (SSDs). Users can even swap hard disks while the device is running thanks to the D0204′s hot-swappable drive bays.
Additionally, the Thecus D0204 supports RAID 0 and RAID 1 configuration.
