Systematic Intros LOK-IT Secure USB Flash Drive
Systematic today announced the launch of LOK-IT Secure Flash Drive, a USB flash drive with security technology that’s “unprecedented” in the marketplace today. The new device’s patent-pending technology protects against hackers and password theft – a growing concern for both corporate and government entities seeking to protect internal documents, data, customer records or patient information.
LOK-IT’s hardware-based security system requires users to log in on a self-contained, on-board PIN pad. The PIN pad is not connected to the host computer and the LOK-IT drive cannot be detected on any computer until the proper PIN is entered. That, combined with on-the-fly 256-bit AES hardware encryption, makes LOK-IT impervious to hackers and unauthorized use.
The LOK-IT Secure Flash Drive comes with a 5- or 10-key PIN pad and is available with storage capacities of 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB.
The 10-key model has an anodized aluminum shell filled with an epoxy potting, creating a damage-resistant barrier that is dust and waterproof up to IP-57 standards.
