Super Talent kicks out 1.8″, 2.5″ and 3.5″ SSDs
Super Talent has introduced new SSDs based on three type of form factor. The drives are available in 1.8-inch (4GB – 32GB), 2.5-inch (8GB – 64GB) and 3.5-inch (64GB – 128GB) factors. According to the company, these drives are 100% compatible with regular hard drives and consumes about 85% less power.
“This new generation of SSD drives delivers all the benefits of Flash based storage – rugged reliability, low power consumption and fast access speed. But we’ve engineered these drives to offer twice the data throughput at half the cost per gigabyte compared to the first SSD drives we introduced a year-ago.” stated Joe James, Marketing Director at Super Talent Technology.
It will be available in April 2007. No word on pricing.
