Seagate Cheetah NS hard drive
A day after kicking EE25.2 drive for extreme environments, Seagate has announced Cheetah NS hard drive for “mission-critical enterprise network storage applications where the highest available storage capacity and the lowest power consumption are required.” The 10,000rpm drive offers 400GB capacity, seek time of 3.9 ms, and 3Gb/sec Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) or 4Gb/sec Fibre Channel interface. It comes with company’s PowerTrim technology that brings down the power consumption by 33%.
Seagate is now shipping the Cheetah NS to leading OEM customers.
