Patriot demos computer with 10TB SSDs
![]()
What is the limit of being insane? If Patriot Memory is to answer this question then it’ll say that having a computer with 10TB of solid state drive is insane. And thats what Patriot has actually done. Reportedly, at the CeBIT show Patriot demonstrated a computer with 10,000GB of Patriot-branded SSDs. The demo PC used forty 256GB TorqX SSDs.
The system manages a sustained 155,000 IOPS/s, which translates into ripping a Blu-Ray in mere 0.9 seconds (usually it takes 2-3 hours on a good PC).
Want to buy one? Be ready to shell out $60,000 for such a system.
