Today LaCie announced the smallest SSD USB 3.0 drive — the FastKey. Interesting thing about this drive is that it combines three amazing technologies, namely SSD, USB 3.0 and DRAM cache, to deliver speeds up to 260MB/s. Small enough to hide in the palm of your hand, LaCie’s FastKey can transfer 1000 mp3 or five DIVX files in less than 60 seconds.
LaCie further goes on to claim that the FastKey can write small files up to 100 times faster than an average USB 2.0 hard drive.
It also boast of AES 256-bit encryption. What more can a business ask for?
The LaCie FastKey is available in 30GB ($149.99), 60GB ($249.99 ) and 120GB ($474.99) capacities.
