Finally Intel’s solid state drives are on shelf. The newest Intel X25-M drives are available in 80GB and 160GB storage capacities and are priced at $242.99 and $499.99, respectively. The multi-level cell (MLC) Intel X25-M Mainstream SATA SSDs are aimed at laptop and desktop PCs, and are designed for gamers, media creators and technology enthusiasts. The Intel SSDs deliver up to 6,600 4KB write IOPS and up to 35,000 read IOPS.
