• Intel to unveil new SSDs for servers

Word on internet has it that Intel will soon unveil new range of solid state drives, especially targeted towards enterprise class server systems. Nothing much is known about these new drives except that they’ll come in 40GB, 50GB, 100GB, and 200GB storage capacities.

Reportedly, the 40GB SSD will be marketed as a “boot drive” for servers and as a low-capacity hard drive replacement for netbooks.
Other higher capacity SSDs will be pure hard drive replacements.
These new SSDs will be available next summer.
