Hitachi Deskstar 7K2000 2TB 7200RPM hard drive now shipping
Hitachi today announced that it is now shipping industry’s first 2TB hard drive. According to Hitachi, the Deskstar 7K2000 7K2000 blends high performance and high capacity with low power to achieve optimum performance while maintaining energy efficiency. The drive also boast of 7200RPM rotation speed.
The new Deskstar 7K2000 is now in its fourth-generation using the company’s unique five-platter design with relaxed bit density and proven perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) technology.
It features 32MB cache, and a 3Gb/s SATA interface.
