Hard drive couple of decades ago and now
Surely hard drives have come a long way in the past couple of decades. The above pictured big machine (which looks like a car’s radiator) is a 1GB IBM hard drive and next to it is a 1GB SD card.

Below is a picture of an IBM 305 RAMAC hard drive launched in 1956 (a full 51 years ago!). Its so big that you need an aeroplane to move it. It weighed over a ton and stored a massive 5MB of data (5MB was considered to be huge at that time).
