Fujitsu MHW2 BJ hard drive – World’s fastest
Fujitsu has launched a 2.5-inch hard drive with rotating speed of 7200 rpm and serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s interface which is dubbed as world’s fastest drive. With a storage capacity of 160GB, the drive is targeted towards high-performance notebook PCs. It is capable of transferring data at a speed of 300 MB/s and operates at 25 decibels when idle (but consumes 2.3 watts when reading or writing data).
Fujitsu intents to sell 1.6 million units in fiscal 2007. The new series will be available on global basis at the end of May, 2007.
