Fujitsu Siemens to launch AMILO GraphicBooster
Fujitsu Siemens is planning to release an external graphics booster to "boost" graphics power of notebooks. The AMILO GraphicBooster is very similar to ASUS's XG Station, which also promises similar graphics improvement. Fujitsu's booster is based on ATI XGP technology and makes it possible for AMILO notebook owners to upgrade their graphics card in future.
So how much improvement should you expect? Well, according to Fujitsu, the GraphicBooster provides up to 4.7x performance improvement over graphics of ultra portable AMILO notebooks. It features DVI-D and HDMI connections, and allows users to connect up to three external displays to their notebook.
Though no word on pricing, you can expect them to hit stores in the next couple of weeks.
