amd_logo2.jpg Reportedly, AMD is currently working on a high-end version of ATI Radeon Series. The 4800 Series supports GDDR3 and GDDR5 memory, and will make its way into the FireStream stream processor and FireGL workstation cards. Most probably, the Radeon 4850 version will come with 800+ MHz core clock speed, while the 4870 will offer higher than 1GHz speed. According to TGDaily, the prototype RV770 boards were clocked at about 1.05 GHz.

The cards will feature 32 texture memory units, up to 1GB GDDR3/GDDR5 memory, 1.8 - 2.2 GHz memory clock, and a 256-bit memory controller.

The 4800 Series cards will come only after August.
