AMD RS690 - Company's first integrated graphics chipset
Advanced Micro Devices has launched their first chipset which combines AMD processor platform and the graphics capabilities of the ATI Radeon X1250 GPU. The new chipset delivers the power to make Microsoft Vista features such as Windows Flip and Windows Flip 3D an integral part of every business day. It includes ATI Avivo technology which supports high-definition content, HDMI interface and a separate DVI output.
Digitimes reports, AMD president and chief operation officer (COO) Dirk Meyer noted that the company's largest customers are already committed to offering AMD 690 series-based solutions, and more than 30 motherboard designs will be available. Protected content can also be played through on-chip high definition content protection (HDCP) support.
