Though the recently launched ATI Radeon HD 4890 graphics processing unit is already so powerful, AMD today announced an upgraded version of HD 4890 GPU that offers even more graphics power. The newly announced factory overclocked graphics processor is the world's first to break the 1GHz barrier using standard air-cooling solutions. The new card also benefits from advanced GDDR5 memory and Microsoft DirectX 10.1. The most interesting thing about this GPU is that it boast of massive 1.6 TeraFLOPs of compute power, 50 percent more than that of the competition’s best single-GPU solution.
