AMD ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series Graphic Cards Announced

amd_hd3870.pngAfter couple of leaked stories I got the pleasure of reporting the official launch of HD 3800 series. The high-end gaming card series is designed for budget users who want to benefit from mainstream card at a reasonable price-point. Built using 55nm process technology the HD 3800 series supports Microsoft's DirectX 10.1, and tri and quad multi-GPU with ATI CrossFireX. The series comes in two versions -- the HD 3850 (starting price $179) with 256MB of GDDR3 memory and HD 3870 (starting price $219) with 512MB GDDR4 memory.

The HD 3800 features PCI Express 2.0 x16 bus interface, 320 stream processing units, two integrated dual-link DVI display outputs, DisplayPort, HDMI, and AMD Xilleon HDTV encoder.
