NVIDIA today announced a new, powerful graphics card in the form of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690. NVIDIA reports that this is the world’s fastest consumer graphics card. The card is based on dual Kepler GPU and sports a bold industrial design to match. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 features an exterior frame made from trivalent chromium-plated aluminum which providing excellent strength and durability; a fan housing made from a thixomolded magnesium alloy which offers excellent heat dissipation and vibration dampening; efficient cooling using dual vapor chambers, a nickel-plated finstack and center-mounted axial fan with optimized fin pitch and air entry angles; and high-efficiency power delivery with less resistance, lower power and less heat generated.
Specification include 3072 CUDA cores, 915MHz base clock rate which can be overclocked to 1019MHz, a total of 4GB GDDR5 memory, 512-bit memory bus and 384GB/sec memory bandwidth.
I/O options include two Dual Link DVI-I, Dual link DVI-D, Mini-Displayport 1.2, and HDMI.
