4-way SLI works on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480!
Though NVIDIA says it’s GeForce GTX 480 graphics card only supports 3-way SLI, it actually supports 4-way SLI! I am sure this piece of news would make any hard core gamer jump off his seat as if we consider a trio of GeForce GTX 480 to be the most powerful combination then just imagine how it would be to play high def games on a machine powered by four NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480? INCREDIBLE!
Reportedly, when EVGA got its bundles of GTX 480 it ran an internal test which showed 4-way SLI is possible on this card.
EVGA performed its test on its X58 Classified 4-way SLI motherboard, which has room for four graphics cards, and a special SLI bridge that connects to four NVIDIA graphics cards with two SLI interconnect bridges each.
No word on benchmark results.
