Top five Computers

Today we've compiled a list of Top 5 computers that we'll like in our home. Some of them are still in concept stage while some are actually built.
5. Asus Modular Computer - Green PC
![]()
This computer 'Green PC' is based on a truely innovative idea. The main parts of this system (like processor, hard drive, RAM, graphics card etc) comes in square units and are wirelessly connected with each other. Seriously no physical contact with each other! All the modules wirelessly exchange data with each other. The system gets power from the base through induction. To build a Green PC, you just stack as many of these as you need on the shelf-like base unit. No word on when it'll be available, but Markus Wierzoch (from Asus Design division) said that "if technology evolves the way the company expects it to, building such a machine will be feasible in the future."
4. Microsoft Surface

According to Microsoft "Surface marks the beginning of a new technology category and a user-interface revolution." As you already know it's a touchscreen display that can be simultaneously operated by more than one person. It'll soon find it's way in some commercial establishments, but I wish Microsoft builts a relatively cheaper "home" version.
3. EyeMove PC

This PC offers functionality of a computer and a projector. It's been designed by Ricardo Baiao. You can place EyeMove on a wall or on horizontal surface and project programs, movies, games anywhere you like. It features a touchscreen wireless controller that functions as a mouse and keyboard.
2. NEC P-ISM

NEC's Pen-style Personal Networking Gadget Package is the result of another brilliant idea. P-ISM is a gadget package including five functions: a pen-style cellular phone with a handwriting data input function, virtual keyboard, a very small projector, camera scanner, and personal ID key with cashless pass function. All the pens wirelessly interact with each other and the whole set is connected to the Internet via the cellular phone function. Each of them includes 'legs' to remain erect and to project keyboard and screen onto a surface. The company has actually built a prototype of this sci-fi gizmo at a cost of $30,000.
1. Future iMac Concept
![]()
This one is a personal favorite. It's just a concept wireless desktop designed by Adam Bentont. The system includes a 30-inch ultra-thin LCD display which is totally transparent when not in use. The keyboard is also transparent and sports low profile and a curved ergonomic design, with light sensitive illuminated keys. Steve, can we have something like this? I am sure all the Apple fans are ogling at this cool desktop.
