Japanese audiophiles can now rejoice as Onkyo released an HD Audio computer for music lovers. Wondering what’s HD Audio? Apparently, the firm has found a cool term to describe the effectiveness of their system. According to Onkyo, the APX-2 is a second generation audio PC, which easily bypasses Vista’s volume mixer function and installed Pure Direct Audio Path (PDAP) in order to avoid audio lost due to Vista’s poor HD audio support.

It comes equipped with 1.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, 1GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, and a digital audio amplifier (the very same found on the Onkyo PCI-200 audio card). No word on pricing and availability, but I guess Japanese people will soon see it in any PC shop.
