HP Blackbird 002 gaming desktop unveiled

Soon after we got unofficial word on Blackbird 002 gaming PC, Hewlett-Packard launched it at an evening gala on the eve of New York's Fashion Week, where the company hosted an audience of nearly 1,000. Encased in cast aluminum chassis, the Blackbird boasts some great thermal solutions such as separate thermal chambers for processor, GPU, and power supply, liquid cooling solution, and copper heat pipes to prevent system from overheating. The monster also sports a removable side panel, interior LED lighting, and completely open BIOS (for overclocking). It can be configured with custom side panel design, 3.0GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6850 processor, dual Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX Ultra graphics card, 10,000 rpm Raptor hard drive, five hard drive bays (max 4TB storage), 3 PCIe x16 slots, 15-in-1 card reader, Voodoo Razer gaming mouse and keyboard, and Vista. The Blackbird 002 will be available from 15 September with price ranging from $2,500 to $7,100.
