FUZE' media PC announced
![]()
FUZE Media Systems has unveiled their first media computer that "address the problems associated with regular home media systems—disparate devices, multiple remotes, complex and confusing interfaces, unreliability, and the lack of true whole-home capability." It's actually a collection of computers to share content across a house. The system consists of a primary media server, video clients, audio clients, and multiple interface options to deliver the "ultimate" media experience. The “FuzeBox” is the primary server, the media appliance that serves as the core of the whole system. It features Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 processor, Nvidia 7600 GT/GS graphics, 4GB RAM, 1.5TB storage, TV Tuner, HDMI, VGA, and Gigabit LAN. The “FuzeMini” is a thin client device that sits by each television except the main theatre’s TV. It interfaces with the FuzeBox enabling centralized video, audio, or photo content to be accessed and displayed on any TV. It provides Core 2 Duo T7200 chip, 2GB RAM, Intel 945 graphics processor, and DVD drive.
The FuzeTunes audio controller ensures that a person’s presets, playlists, and favorites in any room of the house are just a touch of a button away. The FuzeTouch is a small touchscreen device for kitchens or elsewhere where a television is impractical. It also offers an "exceptionally" easy-to-use IR remote that interfaces with the entire system. No word on pricing and availability.
