eMachines today introduced two new desktop PCs for students and home users who are looking for an affordable desktop computer. Both of them are based on AMD processors and NVIDIA graphics, and can easily handle entertainment and multimedia tasks. The $300 eMachines T3646 is being marketed as an affordable solution for every day computing with AMD Sempron LE-1250 processor, GeForce 6100 chipset, 2GB RAM, 160GB SATA hard drive, DVD burner, and Vista Basic.

On the other hand, the T5254 is a bit faster due to Athlon BE-2350 processor. Additionally, the $400 computer also offers 320GB HDD; other features remain same.
